Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP) Peer Consultation Meeting on Octabromodiphenyl Ether and Pentabromodiphenyl Ether

What:  Octabromodiphenyl Ether & Pentabromodiphenyl Ether VCCEP Peer Consultation Meetings When:  June 3-5, 2003 Where:  University of Cincinnati's Kingsgate Conference Center, Cincinnati, OH.  A panel of scientists with expertise in toxicity testing, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and children’s health met on June 3-5, 2003 to conduct a peer consultation of submissions on octabromodiphenyl ether and pentabromodiphenyl ether.  The Great Lakes Chemical Company (GLCC) prepared the submissions for the Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP).  The purpose of these meetings was to provide a science-based forum to determine whether the existing data are adequate to characterize the risks of octabromodiphenyl ether and pentabromodiphenyl ether to children, and, if not, to identify data needs.
