p-Dioxane

What:    p-Dioxane VCCEP Peer Consultation
When:   May 1-2, 2007
Where:
Northern Kentucky University Metropolitan Education and Training Services (METS), Erlanger, Kentucky (close to the Cincinnati Airport)

A panel of scientists with expertise in toxicology, risk characterization, exposure assessment, mechanisms of toxicity, and PBPK modeling met on May 1-2, 2007, to conduct a peer consultation of a submission on p-dioxane.  The Ferro Corporation prepared the submission for the Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP).  The purpose of the peer consultation meeting is to provide a science-based forum to determine whether the existing data are adequate to characterize the risks of p-dioxane to children, and, if not, to identify data needs.  The meeting was open to the public, and individuals who could not attend in person were encouraged to observe via a real-time web cast using their personal computer.
